Kuyper Hoffman

A friend got us backstage passes and my sister and I worked front-of-stage security at the Good Hope Theatre in Cape Town.

He and his wife had just had their first baby and were showing pictures around at the after party. Very cool, down to earth peops.

In 1994 I went to a 3Com User Group meeting in Rome, but stopped off in the UK along the way. Steve was living in Cambridge, working at the UK offices of Pipex/UUNET (not sure what they were called then) and I spent a few days with them. I have only spoken to him since then as he has moved back to Cape Town (where I’ll be visiting for a vacation in 2007 and hope to see him again.)

Played a private gig at our company and I posed with her for a photo and autograph signing. Two years later I got her to autograph the pic of us together! She’s super relaxed towards her audience and fans. Genuinely nice!
